“How do you move from an idea to measurable impact?”
Sonia Oster is CEO and founder of Techtica. She spent 20+ years in product strategy and innovation across companies like Meta, Cisco, IBM, and Sony, and founded and led technology startups in Silicon Valley. She was a Fulbright Scholar and professor of product design and entrepreneurship, and mentors founders and operators on product strategy, scaling operations, and moving from vision to measurable impact.
She's been working in AI for over eight years, navigating adoption and implementation long before it became mainstream. Her career has always centered on one question: how do you move from an idea to measurable impact. That's what she brings to Techtica, and that's what she is writing about.
About Techtica
Techtica turns AI from a promising idea into measurable business results. Strategy and build, under one roof, led by senior Silicon Valley experts. We help Series A and later startups and mid-market companies identify where AI creates real ROI, then design and build the systems that deliver it. Almost every company has used AI by now. Very few can point to a number that moved. Tools got bought, demos got applauded, and six months later the business looks the same. Techtica exists for the gap between AI activity and AI results.
We provide AI strategy and roadmaps, Discovery Workshops, custom agentic systems, workflow automation, and fractional executive placement (CEO, CTO, CPO, CAIO, data science, design). We've served venture capital firms, philanthropists and nonprofits, commercial real estate platforms, the energy sector, and mid-market companies in general.
Upcoming Book: AI Strategy for the Mid-Market
Most AI strategy advice today is written for enterprises with dedicated data science teams, or for consumers experimenting with chatbots. Mid-market companies, the businesses generating $10M to $500M in revenue that make up the backbone of the economy, are left to figure it out on their own. This book closes that gap.
It draws on years of building products and setting product strategy inside large tech companies like Meta and Cisco, where I saw firsthand how AI gets built and scaled, and on what I've learned from my own consulting clients, who are navigating the same decisions without that infrastructure or budget. The result is a clear, practical roadmap for adopting AI without the enterprise price tag.
